I do. I bet that surprises some people. Or at least, it might surprise anyone who doesn’t read my posts, because I tend to express my insecurities all the time.
So let’s talk about doubt. I wish I didn’t doubt myself. But over and over, time and again, I do it. I’ve had quite a stretch of bullying myself just today. I’m stupid. I’m an idiot. I’m ugly. For all my big talk all the time, I still struggle with repeating these awful phrases to myself. Isn’t that sad?
Do you do it, too? Play the beat-yourself-up tape? How can we actualize our own force in the world when we are busy doing this, too?
The loop has to stop, as our own Beat Babe recently addressed. You ARE a force, and even if you doubt that, it doesn’t change the facts. There are people who doubt science, but that doesn’t make it any less true. This is 100% the same.
I think I felt a twinge of doubt from a few of you on that right then.
That’s alright. Just don’t let it become the norm. We strive for CERTAINTY to be the norm. Certainty of our own power and our own ability to do, to make, to create, to actualize and use our power and our force in this world.
Here’s how you can do this today. Ask yourself these four questions sometime during the day today or tomorrow, and move forward in helping develop certainty into a habit:
- Where am I harboring doubt? Recognize the times it is creeping in. Awareness is key.
- What can I do to pay attention to that? After the awareness comes the, “Oh yeah! I recognize that!” You can take a deep breath, close your eyes for a sec- whatever you need to do to give it your awareness, every time.
- What can I replace it with? Choose a simple phrase you can remember. Even something as simple as I KNOW can work wonders. Breathe into the new thought, and breathe out of the doubt.
- How can I remember to do this more often, eventually making it a habit? We have to build up those positive habits to ensure inner peace and success. Consider a random ‘certainty’ pop-up reminder on your phone, a note to yourself someplace, or a daily 30-second meditation on it.
The habits will then become stronger than the doubt! #Endgamegoals!
